Kraków–Balice Airport (KRK)
Where is the airport?
Kraków Airport is in Balice, about 11 km west of central Kraków. From Hornigold in Katowice, this means travelling to another urban area, not to Pyrzowice. Address: Kpt. M. Medweckiego 1, 32-083 Balice. Look for the code KRK on your ticket.

What does the terminal look like?
The photograph shows Kraków Airport’s distinctive glazed terminal façade and the access road outside. The official map helps locate check-in, arrivals and the route towards the railway. “Kraków Lotnisko” station is connected to the terminal by a covered footbridge. On arrival, follow signs for your flight rather than relying only on the photograph.
By car or taxi
From Katowice, head towards Kraków; a typical approach follows the A4 corridor and then signs for Kraków Airport. Open the route from Kopernika 6 and check the current routing, tolls and traffic. At the airport, choose the correct lane for Kiss&Fly or parking. Check fees and stopping limits before entering, particularly when collecting someone on a delayed flight.
Official transport informationBy bus and train
Rail option: Katowice → Kraków Główny, then the SKA1 train to “Kraków Lotnisko”. Match both legs to your travel date and allow transfer time; tickets and fares may be separate. You can also check direct Katowice–Kraków Airport coaches in the airport’s official long-distance transport section. Do not assume every coach to Kraków stops at the airport.
Trains — airport informationBefore you leave
Check the airport and terminal on your ticket. Add the airline’s recommended check-in time, security checks and a buffer for disruption to your journey time. For a night flight, check the first or last service. Arrange reduced-mobility assistance with your airline and airport in advance.
Information checked on 4 October 2026. Time and distance depend on the route, traffic and timetable. Buttons open an external map; set your travel date and time there. Confirm schedules, fares and luggage rules with the operator. Transfers are neither included in accommodation nor booked through this page.
